Ads and consent
Posted on 19 October 2026
Not yet: the game has no ads right now, and everything in the wardrobe is unlocked. This page explains how the ads will work when they arrive in a later update, and it will be updated on that day.
Five More Minutes will stay free because ads will pay for it. Here is what you'll see, what the consent form in the game will ask, and how to change your answer.
Someone has written underneath, in green ink:“The ads pay for my bed. Watch one or don’t. Just do it quietly.”
What you'll see
- A small banner between raids, in the tavern. Never while you're fighting.
- Ads you choose to watch in the wardrobe, to earn hats, skins, lair looks and insult packs. They never make you stronger.
- “Remove ads”, one purchase that switches the banner off for good. The wardrobe ads stay, since watching them is your choice.
The consent form
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, the first time you open the game a form from Google appears. Google serves the game's ads through AdMob, and the form asks whether Google and its ad partners may use data from your phone to show you personalised ads.
If you say yes
Ads may be picked for your interests, using things like your advertising ID.
If you say no
You still get the whole game; nothing is locked. You may still see ads, just not ones based on a profile of you. Some data, such as your IP address, is still used to deliver the ads, stop you seeing the same one over and over, and catch fraud.
Changing your answer
- Open the game.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Privacy choices, and the form opens again.
Your phone's settings also let you reset or delete your advertising ID, usually under Privacy and then Ads. Across Google you can manage ad personalisation in My Ad Center.
Who gets the data
Google AdMob. The consent form lists Google's ad partners, and you can look at and switch off each one from there. What Google collects and why is in the privacy notice and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
