Five More Minutes

The Bog Toad, asleep in his nightcap

Privacy

Posted on 19 October 2026

Your progress is saved on your phone. If you sign in to Google Play Games, which is optional, Google also keeps your achievements and a backup of your save, so you can carry on on a new phone. We never receive your game data.

Someone has written underneath, in green ink:“I don’t want your data. I want to sleep.”

Right now: the game has no ads and nothing to buy. The parts below about ads and purchases only apply once those arrive in a later update, and this page will say so on that day.

Who we are

Five More Minutes is made by Balasoiu Daniel Stefan, who goes by BDS, in Romania. For the law, that makes him the one responsible for any personal data the game handles. You can write to bdsdataofficial@gmail.com.

What stays on your phone

Your nights, upgrades, crowns, settings, wardrobe, records (heroes eaten, nights survived and the like) and achievement progress are saved in files on your phone. There are no accounts of ours, no game servers, and no analytics or tracking of our own.

You can wipe one monster's progress with Reset, in the lair or in Settings. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, deletes everything on the phone. We keep no copy, so we can't bring it back, but a Google Play Games backup can.

Google Play Games

The game uses Google Play Games for achievements and cloud saves. Play Games may sign you in on its own when the game starts, depending on your Play Games settings, and you can always play without it.

When you are signed in, Google keeps in your Google account which achievements you have unlocked and a backup of your save: your progress, wardrobe and records, with no personal details in it. The game sends this backup after a night and when you leave, and offers to load it on a new phone.

Google handles all of this under the Google Privacy Policy; we can't see it. You can sign out, or delete your Play Games data, in the Google Play Games app or in your Google account settings.

Writing to us, and Report a bug

Report a bug in Settings opens your own email app with a message already filled in: the game version, your phone model, your Android version, and which monster and night you were on. You see all of it before you press send, and you can change or remove any of it.

If you email us, we get your address and your message. We use them to reply and to fix the bug, and delete them once the conversation is over.

Ads (not in the game yet)

When ads arrive, there will be a small banner between raids and ads you can choose to watch in the wardrobe for cosmetic rewards. They will come from Google AdMob, run in Europe by Google Ireland Limited. To show the ads, count them and stop fraud, Google's ad code will collect:

  • your IP address, which gives a rough idea of where you are;
  • what you do with the ads and the app, such as opening it, tapping and watching videos;
  • performance details, such as how long the app takes to start;
  • device identifiers, such as your Android advertising ID.

It travels to Google encrypted. How Google uses it is explained in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy. We will only ever see totals, such as how many ads were shown, never anything about you personally.

In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, the game will show Google's consent form before any ad loads. You will be able to say yes or no to personalised ads, and change your answer later in Settings, under Privacy choices. The ads and consent notice explains what each answer means.

Buying things (not in the game yet)

When “Remove ads” and tips arrive, they will be paid through Google Play, under Google's own terms. We will get a note that the purchase went through, so the game can unlock it. We never see card or bank details.

Where the data goes

Google may store and handle Play Games data, and later ad data, outside the EU, including in the United States, protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Children

The game isn't made for children under 13. It has bleeped swearing and cartoon violence. We don't knowingly collect data about children. If you think a child's data has been collected, write to us and we will help.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data about you, to limit or object to its use, to get a copy you can take elsewhere, and to withdraw consent. Most of it sits on your phone or with Google, so these are the quickest routes:

  • Your progress on the phone: Reset in the game, or clear the app's storage.
  • Your Play Games achievements and backup: the Google Play Games app, or your Google account settings.
  • Once ads arrive: Settings, then Privacy choices in the game, your phone's advertising ID settings, and Google's My Ad Center.
  • Anything else: bdsdataofficial@gmail.com. We answer within a month.

In the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority. In Romania that is ANSPDCP, the national authority for personal data.

If this changes

If the game ever starts handling data differently, this notice and its date will change first, and big changes will be announced in the game.
